The Parish Council sought volunteers to progress the creation of a Neighbourhood Plan for Stanwick. If you wish to be involved in any way, from being part of the group that is drafting the plan, to canvassing information or simply delivering documents when required, then complete the Contact Form and tell us in what way you can help.
Neighbourhood plans relate to the use and development of land and associated social, economic and environmental issues. It may deal with a wide range of issues (like housing, employment, heritage and transport) or it may focus on one or two issues that are of particular importance in a local area.
The Vision and Objective available via the Draft Plan tab describe the focus of Stanwick's Plan.
The Neighbourhood Plan will be subject to examination and referendum and then form part of the Local Development Plan. This statutory status gives Neighbourhood Plans far more weight than some other local planning documents, such as parish plans, community plans and village design statements.
It is the intention of the Steering Group that Stanwick's Plan will be in force until 2031.
